A young woman was going on her morning jog, nothing crazy, she does it all the time. She was then confronted by two assailants, and the 5'4" woman did what any other trained martial artist would do, she beat the hell out of them before police could come in and help.

Two Washington teens attacked a woman on her daily run, but suddenly found themselves over matched. You see, they weren't expecting that Priscilla Dang was a kung fu expert.Dang was taking her morning jog when two teenagers accosted her. They rode up on their bikes and one distracted her while the other allegedly slapped her butt.

Dang has taken kung fu for 18 years at her family's Summit Wushu Academy so she wasn't about to take the assault lying down.

Those boys didn't know what hit them.

After the reported butt-slap, Dang took the boy down and told him to apologize. He did, but his partner swore at her at which point, "something snapped" as she reported to The Columbian.

She hit the boy who had insulted her and he got off his bike to fight back. He apparently tried to get in a few punches but with her superior training, Dang had no trouble dodging and planting a second punch. Src - Reuters

Like I say many times, if you're going to learn to fight, make sure that you do it now. Learn kung fu, martial arts or self defense and don't let your morning jog become another statistic, fight back with proper training as you can see from this article.

UFO Sightings Boost Sex Drive

I am not making this up. A news source in Latin America posted this interesting article in which a survey showed that a growing number of people that have sighted UFOs have a higher sex drive and desire upon viewing!

A survey by a local Panamanian paper yielded a surprising result: 37 per cent of Panamanians claim having seen an unidentified flying object (UFO) and felt their desire for sex stirred immediately after the experience. Src - Inexplicata

Drug Abuse and Baths

It's even crazier to me that drugs of a legal nature are so rampant compared to other drugs. Most people don't realize it, but things that are meant for proper use are often times utilized to get so high that they become zombies. The latest from Spin magazine really shown light for those that are looking into the latest bath salt scare. Bath salts are often times snorted or smoked and create a high that is not matched by illegal users.

The thing is, no major bath salt company is coming out and being sad about it all. It seems like they are not to blame, and for purpose. Think about it, if you're making bath salts for you to relax and enjoy a real bath, why would you apologize if a minority is smoking and snorting the substance? I wouldn't apologize, but it's odd. We live in a society that likes to do just that at every turn.

The Rarest Sex Pistols Record You Can Buy

For those of you that are looking to collect records, and are looking to collect something that no one else has, then you have to set your eyes on where punk began in the 1970s. The punk records that came out around that time are so rare, that if you have one today, you might get a bj from a hot bartender at a local dive bar. That’s the case with this next record, it’s one of the most rare records you can get and it’s from the Sex Pistols.

This record is called “The Good Time Music of The Sex Pistols” and it is a rare live recording from The Lesser Free Trade Hall in Manchester. It was recorded on June 4, 1976 and it is one of the most rare pieces of wax that you can get from the punk rock era of the 1970s. The record has only been pressed an estimated 90 times, and if you’re one of the owners, awesome, and if you’re not, go find it out.

Legal Drug Abuse

Drug abuse is a terrible thing to deal with, but it gets even worse when the war on drugs shifts from illegal to legal stuff. The legal issues that most people have to deal with involves illegal substances, but in one town in Misssissippi, it's getting far too crazy.

The fight against drugs has now moved from illegal drugs to medications prescribed every day.
It’s a particular problem in Northeast Mississippi.
The latest example of the problem occurred in Benton County Monday morning when someone smashed the front door of the Ashland Pharmacy and went on a drug shopping spree. - Src WREG

I've never really used a lot of prescription medication, but when I do, I can't say that I abuse it, so I don't understand the appeal. Despite that abuse of legal drugs is insane.

American Football is one of my personal favorite bands, and I don’t know anyone that has heard of them. Hailing from Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, the guys in the band spent roughly 3 years together playing music, and would die down after a while. Members of Cap’n Jazz, Joan of Arc, and The Geese rounded out the line up of this very moody band, creating a lush environment of sounds that is often times called emo by mistake.

American football released 2 records, 1 was their EP s/t in 1998, and the other was another s/t project in 1999. The EP was a digital release, and the full length was a full cd, mp3, LP edition.

The sound of the record is that of a very interesting thing. The album mixes a variety of different styles, mainly soft spoken, plain, rock on the softer side. Compositions like that of this band were not popular at the time, though Polyvinyl Records did manage to pick them up and release both records. After the LP was released, the band decided to call it a day, but remains one of the more critically acclaimed records form the late 90’s underground emo/indie scene.

The vinyl that was released for this record is rare. It was pressed in various formats, but the best one is the Blue version. Blue vinyl American Football LP goes for around $40 - $50 online. It is a full record, 12” and features the same artwork as the compact disc version at a fraction of the cost. If you haven’t heard this record, you owe it to yourself to check it out.

Whichever format you’ll enjoy the record, it’s a lot smoother than most rock outfits, and has a mellow sound that is better than anything being played on smooth jazz stations. If you like Joan of Arc, you’ll love this band’s music.
