Scalped #2 really is impressive to me. The cover reminds me of the many years that I spent growing up in a hard neighborhood in Los Angeles. The latinas that I grew up looking at and thinking were beautiful, had tattoos and looked like this cover's woman. There is a very beautiful thing to the drawing on this cover. The color has been burned through with an orange overlay, but the pencils and the overall picture is amazing to me. The woman on here is marvelous, and her tattoo is amazing. I'm sorry, there is just an affinity that I have that is tied to the Latino world (myself being Mexican) that I just can't deny. The background male is in mystery, but the scalped logo covers the necessary things. The belt on the woman also draws a little for the eyes, and I am amazed at how awesome the ink is for this cover.
Scalped is now available via tradepaperback on amazon.com or you can pick up scalped comics on ebay.
