Adidas Skateboarding Digital Short Film

Usually, I'm not a big fan of corporate entities inside skateboarding. I mean brands like Nike, and Red Bull and others. But Adidas, for whatever reason, keeps catching my attention with great innovation and style in the way they advertise and present themselves. These guys are really creative in their marketing ploys, and I applaud their individuality campaign that has just launched. Here are some screen grabs from the latest Adidas short film, it's really awesome, if I do say so myself:

I couldn't get the actual file, so I took some screen grabs for you. It's a really cool short digital film and it's high resolution. It doesn't take long to load, and it really is the best thing I've seen from Adidas skateboarding in a while. Now if only I could find a place that sells adidas skateboarding shoes, I'd be all set. Vans Ostrich Skin Skate Shoes

I'm all for new design, I'm all for new styles, I'm all for technology. But I'm conflicted on these...are they really Ostrich skinned? I don't know man, I've seen those birds and they aren't all docile like they are in the Bugs Bunny cartoons.

One thing's for sure, I'm not skating in these.

I'm currently skating in a pair of Circa AL50 Praying Hand edition skate shoes. They are working out so far...but then again...maybe Ostrich skinned skate shoes are the key to the future?

Apparently they are REALLY made of Ostrich, and they are a whopping $360 a pair.

Andrew Reynolds Emerica Lights Skate Shoes

Remember those old L.A Lights? They were shoes that had little led lights in the heel and when you walked they would spark. Those were awesome. That's what I thought when I first saw the Andrew Reynolds Emerica lights ad. I thought that Andrew Reynolds and the Emerica shoe crew had lost their minds. Maybe they did...somehow.

It's funny how advertising can be seen differently than its intended purpose. Apparently the "lights" in this ad do not mean light, but rather how weightless the shoes are. Don't I feel stupid?

The new Emerica Reynold's lights are available now at finer retailers and online.

Bad Brains Limited Vans Skate Shoes

If you're a fan of Bad Brains, you might want to check out your local vans dealer for these limited skate shoes. Vans has been known to collaborate with music artists, but this is definitely things legends are written about; considering that Bad Brains is a legend in the heavy music community.

Maloof Cup Street Skateboarding Winners
