Expedition One Skateboards Bellevue Skate Plaza Footage

Expedition One Skateboards recently took a little trip over to Bellevue's Skate Plaza (here in Seattle) and tore the place up. It's been quite the summer opening for the Seattle Skateboarding community, seeing as though a lot of professionals are coming through and skateboarding all our new parks. Slap Magazine Television and Skateboarding Article

The impact of television on skateboarding has been debated to death by a lot of people. With three major programs being played to death on MTV at any given day, or any given weekend, it is no surprise that Slap Magazine decided to ask the three main characters in skateboarding television as well write an intriguing article that talks about the impact that television has on the scene as a whole.

What do I think?

I think it's entertaining, and skateboarding at its core will never be as big or as popular in generic terms as a bicycle or anything.

I think it doesn't hurt.

If you don't like mtv's version of skateboarding, don't watch it.

Manik Skateboards, a premium Seattle based skateboarding company, has announced its collaboration with photographer and Frank151 photo editor Craig Wetherby, to produce limited edition skateboards, shirts and New Era fitted caps. The series will be released to select boutique shops worldwide in conjunction with a world gallery tour exhibiting Craig Wetherby’s photos and limited edition skate decks. The Manik and Craig Wetherby collaboration features a selection of some of Wetherby’s most popular imagery. Wetherby has photographed just about every relevant hip-hop artist to date while also being highly respected and admired by the punk rock and rock n roll communities alike.

We are proud to announce the first in a series of exhibitions showcasing these pieces at Goods in Seattle Saturday May 31st. The reception will be preceded by a skate demo by the Manik team at Innerspace.

In4mation Summer 2008 Skate Deck Selection

In4mation has these skateboard decks to present to the skateboarding world, this summer. Not a bad selection, and some cool designs; I haven't seen these show up in my local skateboard shop, but I'm sure they are solid investments.
